Color Club Twiggie

A
At first when I saw that Twiggie was described as a mint green I thought it was a little odd to have a pastel in a neon collection. Surprisingly once applied it's sort of a pastel-neon if that makes any sense.

Twiggie definitely isn't as bright as those lovely green highlighters from high school but also isn't quite as pale as MAC's Peppermint Patti. I think it would actually be closer to Orly's Mint Mojito.

Twiggie gives good coverage, only two coats needed. This polish is a cream finish so you don't need a ridge filler to bring out the neon some more or to even it out as the formula is a little thick.

Although it is a slightly thick formula it is quite streaky on coat number one. Even using a ridge filler I still got streaks.

AVAILABLE EARLY SEPTEMBER IN THE 'POPTASTIC' COLLECTION WHICH WILL BE REPLACING THE CURRENT NEONS

  1. This looks like an awesome color! I'm afraid that it would make my hands look overly red...but I would probably try it anyway. :)

  8. Hi there =) You have gorgeous nails and impeccable application skills! :D I've recently developed a nail polish obsession, but I'm having trouble sourcing newer collections from retail stores in Auckland. I was wondering if you order your stuff online, and if so, where from? If you do get your polishes from shops, I would really appreciate some pointers of which ones to visit!

    Thanks,
    Lonz

  9. Hi Lonz, I don't really order polishes anymore sorry since a lot don't post to NZ or the postage is really high. I have TransDesign, 8ty8 beauty and Head2Toe Beauty under the links section :)

  12. I really like the neon-pastals. Something about them suit my skintone more than the fluro. I like this a lot.

  13. Oh- and Lonz.. I am also from NZ and have a nail addiction. I get mine from Farmers, Chemists, trademe and eBay. There is a seller on tradme that sells the China Glaze range which is lovely. It's annoying tho in NZ with nailpolish, you are not meant to send it...
